Clive Christian – XX Water Lily
Water Lily, a part of the Clive Christians Noble XX Art Nouveau Collection, is a floral cyphre with aldehydes – a precious substance derived from hydrocarbon that forms when alcohol slowly oxidize – as its major component.
The aldehydes are most famous as a typical note in the classic Chanel No 5, here it is particularly prominent with the green, spicy accords of leafy greenery that brings liveliness to the top notes. The heart is exclusively floral with notes of tuberose, water lilies, iris and heliotrope. In the base we find vetiver, woody patchouli and cashmere musk. Noble Collection is inspired by different eras and historical trends, were the series XX is an homage to the hey-day of Art Nouveaus around the 1900, and its idiom with winding vine ornaments.
